We Respect the Truth and Wisdom in His Holiness: Swami Karshni Maharaj

During the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s two visit to Shri Udasin Karshni Ashram in Mathura, the host, Swami Karshni Gurusharanandaji Maharaj during an address explained that they respect the truth and wisdom that abides within him. His Holiness concluded his two days stay at the ashram on Monday afternoon.

Swami Karshni Maharaj during a gathering at the ashram auditorium on Tuesday morning, he praised the Tibetan spiritual leader for tirelessly working for the good of the humanity. While explaining that Maharaj-ji appreciates His Holiness’s advice to develop love and compassion from within, he added that their respect is not for the physical flesh and bones, but for the wisdom that abides within His Holiness.

“It’s not to his physical flesh and bones that we pay our respects, but to the wisdom that abides within His Holiness. Since His Holiness embodies truth and wisdom, followers of truth is are also followers of His Holiness. I consider His Holiness to be one of the masters of this ashram and so the ashram belongs to him. He is free to stay here whenever he wishes.” Swami-ji told at the gathering on Monday.

Maharaj-ji praised His Holiness and the way he has worked tirelessly for the good of humanity, emphasizing the importance of wisdom and love. He reported how much he appreciates His Holiness’s advice to develop love and compassion from within. He also agreed with His Holiness about the basic common message of Indian traditions. He recited verses from the Gita that illustrated how wisdom and love counteract anger and attachment, report the official website of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s office.

The Tibetan spiritual leader is on a week long visit to New Delhi and Mathura. His Holiness will give three days of teachings on Nagarjuna’s The Precious Garland of the Middle Way (uma rinchen trengwa) in the mornings at the Main Tibetan Temple at the request of Taiwanese.
