In a recent press announcement from the Himachal State Transport minister G.S. Bali, it has warned the travelers between Dharamshala and Delhi to be wary of the private buses operations which are running illegally. The warning was made prior to taking action against the defaulters so that the commuters do not have to face the trouble said the announcement. So this serves as an early warning for all travelers on this route.
According to the report in The Hindu, the minister has said that there are around a dozen of private Volvo buses plying on this route illegally and they have been doing it despite his department’s warnings against the owners of those buses. So the authorities have now ordered to impound those buses.
“Before taking action, I would like to warn passengers travelling in these buses not to do so. Otherwise, they too will have to suffer,” said Mr. Bali.
Currently the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) plies only three Volvo buses on the route. But in the recent times, Dharamshala in terms of tourists, received a huge surge especially in account of domestic tourists and inter-state transport services as plied have been totally inadequate. This has forced the commuters to rely on those private operators without any option.
According to the report, to ease the trouble of the commuters on this route, the minister has also announced they will add five new Volvo buses to the Dharamshala-Delhi-Dharamshala route very soon.
We hope this warning reaches all the commuters on the route so that they do not have to go through all the hassles between the government and the private bus operators.
