Two Tibetans Among Harvard’s 2018 International Women’s Day Honourees

Two Tibetan women from United States are among the Harvard University’s 2018 International Women’s Day honourees according to the official website of the University. According to the website, two Tibetan women have been selected in the 2018  International Women’s Day Portrait Exhibit in celebration of their exceptional contributions to the areas of law and policy.

The 5th  Annual Harvard Law International Women’s Day Portrait Exhibit announced that it is honoured to showcase the 2018 honourees wherein Losang Rabgey and Tashi Rabgey, cofounders of Machik, a non-profit organization working in Tibet for education development and capacity building especially focussed at remote areas.

“Losang Rabgey is the co-founder of Machik, a nonprofit dedicated to social innovation in Tibet through educational development and capacity building. She has been recognized by the National Geographic Society for her work promoting gender equality and bridging cultural divides. She has been described as a zealous advocate and an inspiration to those around her.” said the portrait exhibit at the premiere University.

“Tashi Rabgey is the co-founder of Machik, a nonprofit dedicated to social innovation in Tibet through educational development and capacity building. She is also a Research Professor of International Affairs and Director of the Tibet Governance Project at George Washington University.
