Twitter Deletes Pak Journalist’s Account After Tibetans Protested

The Twitter account of a Pakistan journalist has now been deleted after Tibetans protested against her tweets targeted to defame their spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama. With a large number of followers, the journalist was spreading hate and fake news. However, her account has now come down to non existence.

Pakistani origin journalist by the name of Sameera Khan attempted defaming His Holiness the Dalai Lama by spreading fake news online. Following the attempts, netizens called to ban her social media accounts. For the past few weeks, followers of the spiritual leader have been campaigning for mass collaboration to report the journalist’s fake news posts to ultimately ban her.

Targeted posts from Khan is clearly showing her intentions to confuse ignorant people with her so called “fun facts”. Threads of her tweets against the spiritual leader ultimately lands to the fact of justifying Chinese occupation of Tibet! Despite Tibet was extremely isolated from the world, the basic fabric of Tibetan community has always been formed by faith and belief in peace, compassion from teachings of Buddhism.

With combined efforts of genuine followers reporting her account and posts to Twitter to gathering thousands of signatures through online campaigns, Twitter has now heeded to public sentiments. The Twitter account of Sameera Khan, which is her biggest social media account with more than 66K followers does not exist today.

Tibetan singer Yeshi Khando was targeted by their agents for trying to report her tweets and explain the truth. According Jigme Ugen’s Facebook post, Tibetan activists and supporters have successfully suspended Sameera Khan’s Twitter account after she started trolling His Holiness the Dalai Lama and repeatedly sharing CCP propaganda materials.
