A prominent Indian TV Actress in a recent interview in Mumbai has claimed of alleged eve-teasing during her holiday in the Himalayan town of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. The concerned authorities have explained that they are looking into the matter to verify the allegations as they didn’t have any clue of her stay in the town.
Karishma Sharma, a Television actress based in Mumbai narrated her nightmare experience during a planned four day vacation in the hill town of Dharamshala in an interview given in Mumbai. The actress was forced to cut her scheduled vacation by two days as despite Dharamshala being a beautiful place but the experience was bad.
“I went to a beautiful temple with my friend, and we clicked a few photographs there. However, the minute I turned around, I saw around 15 men standing behind us; they were checking us out in a weird manner; literally staring at my t*ts. I was too scared to say anything to them, and walked out of there.” narrated the actress in her interview who also added that her complaint about the incident a cop was also ignored.
The actress further explained that her experience of being followed behind and eve-teasing by groups of men continued for the second day too when she visited the market as well as a monastery. “Walking on the street was horrible as the men were ogling and singing.” she added.
Kangra SP Santosh Patial said the incident of eve-teasing was never reported to police. “However, after her interview in Mumbai we are trying to verify the allegations. As of now, we have no information about her stay in Dharamsala.” according to the Tribune report adding that where the actress had stayed and where the incidents took place.
