Tibetans in Germany participated in the German Post Marathon Bonn

 

On October 17, 2021, Tibetans in Germany competed as Team Tibet in the German Post Marathon Bonn, one of Germany’s largest running events as per Tibet today. A group of Tibetans joined nearly 4000 German athletes, runners, and walkers in a running event organized by Team Tibet that covered 5 to 40 kilometers and passed through the German federal city of Boon, as well as other historic sites in the city.

Tibet today also claimed that Mr. Tenzin Yeshi, President of the Tibetan Association in Germany, stated that the Team Tibet from North-Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) regional section of the Association of Tibetans in Germany joined the running event to create awareness on Tibet; to express gratitude to the people and government of Germany for solidarity and support for Tibet for all these years and also to mark the 14th anniversary the historic bestowal of the US Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor of the United States, to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
