A Russian republic has approve the use of Tibetan medicine as a preventive cure for the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. According to the Tibetan report by the Tibet Times on Friday, a Tibetan medicine doctor based in Russia has shared an update about the new development on his social media accounts and a progress is being made.
Doctor Yarphel practicing in Buryatia, a republic of Russia has obtained an approval from the authorities to use traditional Tibetan medicines to treat and help prevent Coronavirus. The report shared the progress coming out from the local Tibetan doctor there.
According to Tibet Times, doctor Yarphel has been approved by the health department of Buryatia republic to use Tibetan medicines for treating and preventing Coronavirus on June 9. Since the approval, he has provided his herbal medicines to more one hundred and twenty patients. There are six branches of the Men-Tsee-Khang, the Tibetan Medicine and Astrology Institute in the whole of Russia and three of them have a resident doctor each.
Health department of the exile Tibetan administration in Dharamshala recently distributed a package of 10 essential Tibetan medicines to Tibetans above the age of 65 in India, Nepal and Bhutan. The department declared these medicines as immunity boosters for the vulnerable section of the community. Traditional Tibetan medicines are a popular alternative therapy with well known reputation in treating chronic diseases such as cancers.
With the spread of coronavirus that originated from Wuhan city of China, world came to a halt. The pandemic has now infected more than 7.2 million people across the world. It has claimed more than 400K human lives and overwhelmed the health systems in most of the countries. Sadly, the world is yet to discover either a cure or a vaccine to this deadly viral pandemic.
