A Tibetan girl has been awarded with the Gold Medal in her college in recognition of her academic excellence. A nursing student has secured the distinction of class topper in their college exams and the college has recognised her achievement by awarding a gold medal and a certificate of honour.
As a recipient of scholarship from the Department of Home, CTA, the office has extended congratulations to the student. Ngawang Dolma is a second year nursing student at the St. Philomena Nursing College in Bangalore. In the annual exams, she has topped her class and the gold medal was awarded during the convocation ceremony of the university.
The head of scholarship section of Department of Education has stated that the Tibetan girl’s achievements will leave an imprint on others to work hard and achieve success.
“When we hear such news it gives us immense pleasure to know that our students are doing good and shining in the field of education amongst others. Your achievement will surely leave an imprint on others to work hard to achieve success. It is indeed highly a matter of pride for all of us. So, I on behalf of DoE would like to congratulate you once again and to urge you to keep shining” said Ms. Sonam Sangmo, Head of Scholarship Section, according to the official website of Central Tibetan Administration.
Ngawang Dolma did her schooling from CST Mussorie and hails from Dekyingling Tibetan settlement according to the report.
