Tibet Rallies Across The World On Human Rights Day

On the commemoration of the international Human Rights Day, extensive Tibet rallies were held across the world on Sunday with a massive solidarity rally organised in front of the United Nations in New York. While many Tibetans and Tibet support groups and organisations across the world carried out strong rallies calling out for the respect of human rights in Tibet against China, we bring to you some of the glimpses of those activities from across the world.

To mark International Day of Human Rights, thousands of Tibetans and Tibet supporters from across the United States and Canada took part in a mass solidarity rally in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York City on 10 December. The following is a glimpse of the mega rally for Tibet.

Besides the massive Tibetan solidarity rally in New York, Tibetans and Tibet supporters across the world carried out such rallies and peace marches on the same day calling out for the human rights in Tibet and the end of Chinese control over Tibet. We bring out some pictures to give a glimpse of the large number of such activities carried out for the cause of Tibet.

In addition to organising rallies for Tibet across the world, the Tibetan communities also celebrated the 28th anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1989.
