Mipham Rinpoche Steps Down as Shambala Head Over Sexual Assault Claims
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, leader of one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist Organizations in the West, Shambala Internation with over 200 centers across 30 countries has stepped down from the administrative and teaching responsibilities after allegations of sexual misconduct against him. The statement informed that the religious is going into a period of ‘self-reflection’.

Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche Accused of Sexual Assault Upon Women Followers
The head of Shambala International that has around 200 international Buddhist centers, Sakyon Mipham Rinpoche is accused of sexual assault upon his women followers according to breaking reports. The Tibetan Buddhist leader has been investigated by an independent investigator who reported to have reviewed some of allegations against the rinpoche.
