Copenhagen illegally silenced anti-China demonstrators
A government-appointed commission slammed Denmark’s Foreign Ministry this week for caving into Chinese pressure and prohibiting anti-Beijing protests during state visits in 2012 and 2013. According to the Tibet Commission, Denmark’s intelligence and security services used coercion to persuade Copenhagen police to put an end to any anti-China protests, in contravention of the country’s constitution.

According to Euro News, China has denounced and conveyed its displeasure after election posters showing the Tibetan flag were displayed outside its embassy in Denmark. Several posters portraying a local election candidate next to Tibet’s flag were posted around the embassy building in Copenhagen, according to the publication.
