Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland in a written statement on Monday expressed that the country remains deeply concerned about the human rights situations affecting the Tibetans. The statement is a reiteration of the country’s support for the Tibetan people and condemning the practices of Chinese authorities inside Tibet.

Canada Grants $5.4 Million Fund for Tibetan Youth Education
The Canadian government has announced to grant a $5.4 Million fund for the education of Tibetan Youths. The announcement was made by MP Arif Virani on behalf of the government of Canada in the presence of Dr. Lobsang Sangay, President of Central Tibetan Administration earlier last week at Parkdale Centre for Innovation.
