Members of 17th Tibetan Parliament in exile takes Oath

 

 

Dharamshala, 9th October: At a ceremony held at the Tibetan Parliamentary secretariat today, the elected members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile were sworn in in accordance with the Tibetan exiles’ charter. The Central Tibetan Administration’s Sikyong Penpa Tsering was present at the swearing-in ceremony.

 

At the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission, Chief Justice Commissioner Sonam Norbu Dagpo administered the oath of office to pro tem speaker Dawa Tsering earlier in the morning. Justice Commissioners Karma Dadul and Tenzin Lungtok of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission were present for the pro tem speaker’s swearing-in (TSJC).

The remaining 44 elected members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile took their oaths at the Tibetan parliamentary secretariat after the pro tem speaker was sworn in. The 44 elected members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile were sworn in by the pro tem speaker.
