Sakya Trizin: We Should Never Forget His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s Words

His Holiness the Sakya Trizin while speaking to the Tibetans from Tibet at the ongoing Kalachakra initiations by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Bodh Gaya said that we should never forget the words of the Dalai Lama whenever and wherever we are! The Sakya Trizin gave a special religious teaching ceremony to the devotees gathered at the Kalachakra event in special focus to the Tibetans from Tibet on 10th January.

According to the Tibetan report in Bangchen, Sakya Trizin initially greeted the devotees with special reference to Tibetans from Tibet and told that it is of extreme good fortune to have receive the opportunity to come together at such an auspicious religious event, Kalachakra Initiations by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the holy place Bodh Gaya.

Further from the report, His Holiness the Sakya Trizin taught the devotees that religion is something one has to practice, not something another individual could do for you!

“It is a very good fortune to have received this precious human life in this era of Avalokiteshvara and we should not waste it. Though we all are same as desiring happiness, not wishing to do evil but to do good, we fail with that when we do not have peace of mind. Therefore we should work at maintaining peace of mind and discipline it through religion.” said Sakya Trizin.

The Rinpochen further taught the devotees not to forget the words of His Holiness the Dalai Lama but to remember time and again whenever and wherever we are. “Thus if we could practice the teachings in our everyday life, it would clear the misfortunes of the present life as well as earn fortunes for our next lives. Therefore is nothing more virtuous than following the words of your lama.”
