The Hollywood superstar and human rights activist Richard Gere and his wife received His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s blessing for their expected child on Sunday. The duo has met the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Rotterdam in Netherlands where His Holiness is carrying on pre-scheduled public engagements.
The news of Richard Gere and wife Alejandra Gere expecting their first child together were circulating across different platforms since August. Alejandra Gere’s Instagram post right now has confirmed the reports of them expecting first child together by sharing a picture of them receiving blessings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama for their expected child.
“A very special moment just a few minutes ago… Getting blessings for our precious to come.. we couldn’t announce it before telling HH Dalai Lama☺️ Un momento muy especial para nosotros hace unos minutos.. Muy feliz recibiendo bendiciones para nuestro preciado tesoro por llegar… no lo podía anunciarlo sin antes habérselo dicho a su SS Dalai Lama…” posted Alejandra Gere on her official Instagram account on Sunday.
The 69-year-old Pretty Woman Hollywood actor, Richard Gere and 35-year-old Spanish publicist and activist, née Alejandra Silva, married in April. Richard Gere is a well known celebrity follower of His Holiness the Dalai Lama who inspite of facing consequences upon his career for sternly standing along with the Tibetan spiritual leader continued to support the Tibet issue. The Hollywood actor has also turned into a Buddhist since 1980s and has since been strong activist of human rights in Tibet.
