The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2019 according to reports in the leading news agencies. The Indian PM has been nominated for the prestigious award by the BJP Tamil Nadu president Tamilisai Soundaraja according to the report in Economic Times on Tuesday.
“Soundarajan nominated Modi for launching the world’s largest healthcare scheme Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana – ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and also appealed to people to join her in nominating the Prime Minister.” said the report on Tuesday adding that the BJP Tamil Nadu president’s husband, Professor Dr. P Soundarajan, Head of Department and Senior Consultant in Nephrology at a private university in the state, has also nominated the Prime Minister for the honour.
The state BJP chief has explained that the path breaking initiative by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transform millions of underprivileged and vulnerable lives adding that the PM’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana – ‘Ayushman Bharat’, healthcare system will revolutionize health care delivery system in India.
“This path-breaking initiative of visionary Prime Minister Modi will transform the lives of millions of people especially the underprivileged and vulnerable.” Soundarajan is reported as saying in a release while appealing all healthcare providers in India and abroad to join her in nominating Prime Minister Modi for Nobel Peace Prize 2019.
