Outside the Chinese consulate in Denmark, election posters with Tibetan flags were placed.

Dharamshala, 29th October: According to Euro News, China has denounced and conveyed its displeasure after election posters showing the Tibetan flag were displayed outside its embassy in Denmark. Several posters portraying a local election candidate next to Tibet’s flag were posted around the embassy building in Copenhagen, according to the publication. They were put by candidate Thomas Rohden before being removed from the Hellerup suburb.

The Chinese embassy in Denmark criticized the posters on Wednesday, saying, “A number of political posters depicting a flag symbolizing “Tibet Independence” have recently been placed in front of the Chinese Embassy. We express our outrage at this premeditated provocation. Tibet is an intrinsic part of China, and any attempt to split it from China is doomed to fail.”

Meanwhile, Rohden, a well-known Beijing critic, announced on Twitter on Tuesday that the posters outside the Chinese embassy had been changed. According to Euro News, the candidate stated the decision was in protest of Denmark’s 2012 health collaboration with the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu. Human rights organizations have accused China of torturing, forced sterility, and cultural deterioration in Tibet, which Beijing denies.
