A British Member of Parliament in a recent speech to the house expressed Chinese concerns by reporting that more than one million Tibetans killed by Chinese oppression. The MP shared the clip of his speech to the house where a nutshell of key Chinese concerns was brought into light and asked the house if it is not concerned about Chinese influence in Britain.
Timothy Paul Loughton or popularly known as Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham since 1997 recently raised Chinese concerns in the British parliament. The MP informed the parliament that more than one million Tibetans were killed by Chinese oppression, two million Uighurs incarcerated in concentration camps and seven million Hong Kongers on the verge of losing their civil liberties.
“1,000,000 Tibetans killed by Chinese oppression. 2,000,000 Uighurs incarcerated in re-education concentration camps. Over 7,000,000 Hong Kong citizens about to see their civil liberties and freedom of expression snuffed out.” MP Tim Loughton is seen reporting to the parliament in the clip where he raises that they need to stand up to the Chinese government.
MP Tim Loughton earlier introduced a bill in the British parliament to emulate a bill now passed into law in the U.S., requiring a report to be made to Parliament each year, listing instances where British politicians, diplomats, and other travelers have been denied entry to Tibet. It will then bar entry to the UK for any Chinese officials found to block freedom of travel to Tibet by British citizens.
Since the Chinese invasion of Tibet, the Tibetan records report more than 1.2 million Tibetans losing their lives at the persecution of Chinese oppression. It also records the destruction of more than 6000 Buddhist monasteries accounting to 99% of all in Tibet and forced disrobing Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns since the arrival of Chinese army into Tibet. Today Tibet remains the worst part of the world where there is no regard for basic human rights.
