The Miss Tibet pageant director Mr. Lobsang Wangyal has announced in their official website that the 2018 version of the pageant will be held in New York, United States. It was announced that the pageant has partnered with the Engage Entertainment who will produce and direct the 2018 Miss Tibet pageant event at the new venue in June this year.
“Happy New Year! I am happy to announce that Miss Tibet Pageant 2018 will be held in New York City. We have partnered with Engage Entertainment, who will be producing and directing the Pageant in June 2018.” said the official announcement published in the official website to Miss Tibet.
The eligibility criteria for the participants are as such that they must have Tibetan government tax paid up to date, should be between 17 and 25 years of age with a minimum 165 cm in height and should be unmarried and not have given birth. It also demands a minimal entry fee of Rs 1,000 (India, Nepal, Bhutan), € 25 (European countries), $ 50 (US, Canada and other countries).
In addition to that, the contestants should have their passport/travel documents ready by the time they come to compete in the pageant, for possible participation in international pageants. Participants need to bear their own travelling expenses to and from New York City, US while food, accommodation and local travels in New York City will be provided by Miss Tibet Pageant.
Engage Entertainment is a well-established entertainment and media company for the last 13 years in India, and has now expanded to New York in partnership with Sonam Wangdue and Lalit Bhatnagar.
