A video of a group of molesters trying to strip a teenage girl in Bihar city has gone viral on the social media late Saturday night. In the video, around eight to ten group of molesters mostly looking as teenagers are seen groping the teenage girl trying to strip her in the daylight, making video recording of the incident.
“The video shows a group about seven boys, some of them on a motorcycle, trying to tear up the clothes of the girl. She is seen crying and begging with folded hands as boys use abusive and derogatory language against her.” said the report in the Hindustan Times on Monday.
Jehanabad’s superintendent of police Manish Kumar has informed the media that he has instructed his officials to lodge an FIR against the culprits in the video soon after the viral video of the incident came into his notice and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been set up to hunt down the culprits seen captured in the video.
While the country is going through endless chain crime against women regardless of the age of the victim, be it an 8 year old child or a teenager or an adult, despite numerous campaigns against these incidents, such crimes do not seem be reducing at all. This incident is also a shocking reality that came out to the public purview with the help of internet alone!
According to the latest reports of Times of India, four of the accused has been arrested on Monday afternoon while the rest of the accused a still running free. The accused Amar Kumar (18) son of Jagdu Yadav, Deepak Kumar (18) son of Dinesh Yadav, Sunil Kumar (18) son of Kapil Yadav and a 14-year-old minor have been arrested by the police with the help of clues from the video footage.
“The police team tracked down the location from the motorbike which was on the viral video. On the basis of the number plate, the district transport officer traced the location of the owner of the bike. However, the owner of the bike is yet to be arrested,” said the IG according to the report which added that the police also recovered the mobile phone which was used to make the video, from the arrested youth Amar Kumar.
