In a breaking news from Monday night, three Indian soldiers have been killed in a violent clash with Chinese army. As a result of the protracted stand off in Ladakh borders, violent clashes have led to serious casualties. The two Asian giants have been declaring that the dispute along the border are being solved through talks.
According to the reports, an army officer of colonel rank and two soldiers are confirmed to have died amidst violent clashes with the People’s Liberation Army of China. A serious stand off between the two armies were going on since the beginning of last. Chinese army have been intruding into Indian territory along Galwan valley in Ladakh.
“The Indian army suffered multiple casualties, including that of an officer, in a “violent face off” with the PLA on Monday night in Eastern Ladakh, the army said in a statement. It added that there were casualties on both sides. This is the first casualty of an Indian soldier in a clash with the PLA since 1975 when an Indian patrol was ambushed by Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh.” said the report by Hindustan Times on Tuesday.
India and China earlier reported to have mutually agreed to de-escalate the border dispute by withdrawing their troops along the disputed region. However, it is unlikely that the situation could be resolve so comfortably considering the long border regions shared along India and Tibet. Since Chinese invasion of Tibet, India have been constantly intimidated by the along its borders.
Details of what exactly led to the violent face-off are not clear at the moment although reports state that no firearms were used and deaths took place after stones were pelted by troops from both sides. The sources of the report also told that both sides suffered casualties although number of Chinese casualties are not known yet.
