The Karmapa is scheduled to confer the Green Tara Empowerment and mind training teachings in two sessions on the 4th February this year in New York, United States.

His Holiness will be giving a teaching on the ‘Eight Verses of Training the Mind’ during the morning session and will confer the Green Tara Empowerment in the afternoon.” announced the official website of his office.
Gyalwang Karmapa is presently on a long stay in the United States on medical reason according to a previous information from his office, the upcoming teaching is scheduled as Mind Training teachings in the morning session beginning at 9;30 am EST and the Green Tara Empowerment in afternoon until 6 pm EST.
His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, is the head of the 900 year old Karma Kagyu Lineage and guide to millions of Buddhists around the world. Currently 32 years old, the Karmapa resides in his temporary home at Gyuto Monastery in India after making a dramatic escape from Tibet in the year 2000. Traveling the world, the Karmapa skillfully teaches traditional Tibetan Buddhist Dharma while also advocating topics such as environmental conservation, feminism, digitization of the Dharma, and much more.
