InFrame, the first Tibetan photography magazine was launched in Dharamshala on Tuesday at Hotel Tibet in Mcleod Ganj. The launch event presided over by the Kalon of Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration started at around three in the afternoon with an audience gathering of around a hundred people.
Kalon Ngodup Tsering launching the InFrame: Tibetan Photography magazine said that the art of photography is relatively comparable to contemporary world. He explained that the initiative such as the InFrame particularly serves the commitments of the present Tibetan Administrative body, i.e., innovation and self reliance.
Introducing the Magazine, Kalsang Jigme who is the curator of InFrame has explained that all the content of the magazine are a collection of photographs and essays written by Tibetans from across the world. In special focus, the magazine contains two photo stories; one from Tsering Woesar la from Beijing and another from Sonam Zoksang la from USA.
In addition to these, it also contains the winners of the InFrame photography contest which features photography from several categories such as that of Landscape, portrait and so on.
