Indian Health Minister Visits Dalai Lama to Assure Full Support

The Union Health minister of Government of India on Sunday paid a visit to the hotel where the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama is staying in New Delhi. The union minister visited His Holiness to inquire about his health after spending three days at hospital treating a chest infection.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday visited to the hotel room of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi and inquired about his health. According to the report in the official website of Central Tibetan Administration, Indian health minister assured that the government of India would provide all the necessary help and support to His Holiness in the best way possible.

“According to Kasur Dongchung Ngodup, Representative of Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, on Sunday 14 April, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda visited His Holiness at his hotel room to enquire his health condition.” said the report where he assured that the government of India would provide all the necessary help and support to His Holiness in the best way possible.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was rushed to New Delhi from Dharamshala after getting discomfort in chest last week. The 83 year old spiritual leader spent three days at the Max Hospital under treatment and was discharged on last Friday after recovering from the infection. His Holiness is presently stationed at the JW Marriott Hotel in New Delhi and his reportedly scheduled to spend some time resting there.
