How people celebrated Dalai Lama’s birthday around the world

Dharamshala, 9th July: Mysore Tibetan Community Center, a branch of Shephen Charitable Trust had successfully served meals at various local places in Mysore on the occasion of the 86th Birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for 6 day-long programs of Shenphen Food Drive. Their vision is to create awareness about the H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama’s vision of promoting Human values and the oneness of humanity by helping each other. Their mission is to help the needy and homeless, who are deprived of food and drinking water. The objective is to provide a simple lunch and dinner for 100 people per day or 200 people.

A Boy from Darjeeling completed an 86-kilometer cycle journey to celebrate Dalai Lama’s Birthday

On the occasion of the 86th birth anniversary of the Tibetan spiritual master, the 14th Dalai Lama, Tasi Fenjok Sherpa of Sonada completed an 86-kilometer cycle journey. Under the auspices of Blue Dagon Adventure, Sonada’s Tashi Fenjok Sherpa wished the Buddhist Dalai Lama a happy and prosperous life on the occasion of his 86th birthday and good health. At the end of the visit, Sonada’s Buddhist community thanked him for the campaign and prayed for the long life and health of Guru Dalai Lama.

Hampshire County residents celebrate Dalai Lama’s birthday

This is the sixth year that the community has provided free meals to anyone in the region who is in need. The association also issued a video on Wednesday including birthday greetings from many Massachusetts lawmakers, city leaders, and organizations.

86th Birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama Celebration in Central and Eastern Europe

Tibetans, supporters, and lovers throughout Central and Eastern European countries commemorated His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday and prayed for his ongoing presence to spread love, peace, and happiness throughout the globe. The Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein marked His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday with a ceremony at Tibet Institute Rikon that included prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s long life. The Tibet Bureau Geneva’s representative, Chhimey Rigzen, addressed the audience and read Kashag’s statement on the occasion. Karma Choekyi, president of the Tibetan Community, and Rikon Karma Dolma Lobsang, head of the Tibet Institute, also spoke at the event.

Canberra Tibetan Community Celebrates His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Birthday

On Tuesday, July 6th, the Canberra Tibetan community commemorated His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday. Over a hundred people gathered to commemorate the historic anniversary, which was marked by rigorous adherence to the government’s Covid 19 pandemic standards. The traditional ceremonial sweet rice (dre-sil) and tea were served after the installation of His Holiness’ image on the throne.

The community members used parts of the auspicious occasion to recite Avalokiteshvara mantras (Om Mani Padme hung) in honor of His Holiness’ long life and good health. The festival was also highlighted by the young community members’ lively and energetic renditions of traditional Tibetan songs and dances.
