Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama is set to visit Goa Institute of Management (GIM) at the institute’s campus in Sakhali next week. His Holiness’s visit to the state will mark the 25th year anniversary of the institute and he will be speaking on the importance of traditional Indian knowledge in modern time.
“The Dalai Lama will visit Goa on August 8 to address students of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) at the institute’s campus at Sakhali. He will speak about the importance of traditional Indian knowledge in modern times.” said the report in Times of India on Monday.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama is presently at the end of his month long hectic schedule visiting various remote villages in Ladakh region. At the final leg of his visit to the region, His Holiness is giving teachings at his residence Shewatsel Phodrang Teaching Ground near Choglamsar in the mornings of July 30, 31 and August 1.
According to the report, this is the first lecture in Goa in seven years since he addressed a packed hall at Kala Academy as part of the DD Kosambi festival of ideas organized by the state government. His Holiness the Dalai Lama had halted at Goa international airport for lunch in July 2016 while taking a connecting flight from Delhi to Karnataka.
His Holiness is scheduled to leave the state after addressing the students of GIM at their founding anniversary on August 8.
