The media delegation of Himachal Pradesh made a visit to the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala and met with the President Dr. Lobsang Sangay on Thursday morning. The team consisted editors, reporters and camerapersons representing the media fraternity of the host state Himachal Pradesh were in the town to cover the winter parliament session of the state being held in Dharamshala.
“About 40 editors, reporters and camerapersons representing the media fraternity of Himachal Pradesh called on CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay at the Kashag secretariat today. The media persons who are mostly from the state capital Shimla are in Dharamshala to cover the ongoing winter session of the state legislative assembly.” said the report in the official website of Central Tibetan Administration.
According to the report, the President reminded of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s great contribution towards world peace and commitment towards revival of ancient Indian values particularly the Nalanda school of thought in India. He also expressed gratitude to India and particularly Himachal Pradesh for hosting His Holiness the Dalai lama and the Central Tibetan Administration through the media delegation. He further outlined the Kashag’s upcoming programmes for ‘thank you year 2018’ to be organised by the Tibetan administration to express gratefulness to all the governments across the world for their consistent support for the Tibet cause.
“The Doklam stand off and the repeated cross border incursion of Chinese soldiers into Indian territories is a sign of China’s expansionist mindset. India needs to be wary of China’s belligerent attitude,” Dr. Lobsang Sangay issued a warning against China’s expansionist policies.
While hosting the media delegation at the Kashag secretariat, President Sangay was also accompanied by members of his cabinet, the Religion and Culture Kalon Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Home Kalon Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang, Finance Kalon Karma Yeshi and Health Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk at the meeting.
