The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur at the annual meeting of the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch held at Mandi on Sunday said that the state is blessed for the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama to have chosen the state as his exile abode. The Himachal CM also commended the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch for their incredible service.
“The Dalai Lama had chosen the state as his second abode and it was due to his presence that Dharamshala has emerged as the world famous destination. Dalai Lama has special love for the state and its people.” Shri Jai Ram Thakur told at the National Convention of the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch held in Mandi in commemoration of 19 years of its formation.
According to he report in the Dariya News, Jai Ram Thakur assured the Manch for all possible help from Government and hoped it would continue to work for the betterment of ties and friendship between India and Tibet. He said that the Manch has entered 20 years of its existence and during these years it has strived to strengthen the bond of friendship between India and Tibet. The CM also released a photograph on the 20th year of the Manch.
In addition to Jai Ram Thakur, Senior Pracharak of RSS and Patron of the Manch Shri Indresh Kumar, Health Minister of Department of Health, Choekyong Wangchuk, Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma, MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma, MLAs Rakesh Jamwal, Inder Singh Gandhi, Vinod Kumar and Jawahar Thakur, Executive Chairman of the Manch Harjit Singh Grewal, former Minister Punjab Mohan Lal were also present at the occasion.
