Tenzin Noryang was born and raised in the Mundgod Tibetan Settlement, and she attended CST Mundgod for her education. Her foray into an Indian university presented her with the stark revelation that she was the only Tibetan student there. Despite this, she maintained a positive attitude, overcome various obstacles, and hoped for a better tomorrow. She topped her class after four years of unwavering dedication and perseverance.
Noryang thanks her father Tsewang Namgyal and mother Kalsang for raising her and supporting her through her difficult times. She dedicates her gold medal to her loved ones who have financially and morally supported her.
“Nothing comes easy and free,” she remarked of her achievement, “so I took everyday lectures seriously, collected notes, went to the library, and referred 2-3 textbooks for a particular topic. Adjustments were a very vital part of my nursing career where I had to adapt to things I would normally find unpleasing. But it finally paid off.”
Noryang stated that a profession as a nurse is enjoyable and offers plenty of opportunities for progress and development. “She remarked,” she said “My long-term goal is to be a Head Nurse of an entire ward in a health Institute. However, to get there, I need to have a strong foundation. I believe in everyday learning and will always strive for new advancements and adapt to it.”
