Former CTA Staffs to Make Long Life Offerings to Dalai Lama

Former staffs of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) are going to make a long life offering to the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The long life offerings is scheduled for take place on Friday at the Main Temple in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala with the gracious attendance of His Holiness.

“His Holiness the Dalai Lama will attend a Long Life Offering prayer given to him by former staff of the Central Tibetan Administration at the Main Tibetan Temple in Dharamsala, HP, India on July 5, 2019. The ceremony will be conducted in Tibetan language with an English translation available when needed.” said the schedule post in the official website of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The Tibetan spiritual leader’s public engagements have been extensively reduced following the recommendations of his doctors as well as well wishers. His Holiness has long been requiring relaxed schedules to ensure sufficient time for him to rest at such an advanced age. The spiritual leader turns 84 this Saturday.

When the Central Tibetan Administration made a long life offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in May this year, he affirmed of his confidence in living more than 110 years. His Holiness explained of the omens seen in his dreams indicating his long life. However, he reiterated that if he has to live long, his followers must allow him to rest more.
