The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to his temporary abode in India, Dharamshala on Wednesday morning after almost two month long visit to different parts of India. His Holiness told at the Gaggal airport in Dharamshala that except the increasing tiredness at his advanced age, assuring that he is in excellent health.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama had left from Bodh Gaya Sunday and arrived in Delhi on the same day. His Holiness went through a routine health check up at the Max Hospital in Delhi just before returning back to the Himalayan town of Dharamshala on Wednesday morning.
“Just yesterday, I went to the hospital for a medical check up at Max hospital. I am in excellent health. Of course, I am an 82-year-old person. So, year by year, the feeling of tiredness is increasing. This time I have been out for almost a month and half. I felt it was too long,” His Holiness responded to media queries on arrival at the Gaggal airport and assured that he is in excellent health.
During this trip, the Tibetan spiritual leader visited Mumbai, where he said three days teaching in early December, following which he visited Tibetan settlements, Mundgod and Bylakuppe in Karnataka. Before leaving for Bodh Gaya, His Holiness attending to public events in Bengaluru, New Delhi and Sarnath by the end of December last year.
While His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Bodh Gaya on the first day of this year, except two days visit to Pune to address the 2nd National Teacher’s Congress, His Holiness spent almost a month’s time at the holy place of Bodh Gaya, giving three series of teachings to more than 50,000 devotees gathered there.
