The hurricane of recent Indian politics who formed the Aam Aadmi Party and swept clean at the last Delhi elections has got the knowledge of the rich culture of meditation, yoga, massage and Tibetan medicines training in the Dharamshala, especially in Mcloed Ganj and Dharamkot regions which are uphill from main Dharamshala town, the current Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is currently under going a 10 day meditation course at the Himachal Vipassana Centre in Dharamkot.
The Delhi chief minister arrived on Monday and his 10-day meditation course at Dharamkot, near McLeodganj, began from Tuesday. He can not take up any official work during course of the class there and access to mobile phones, pagers, television or newspapers won’t be allowed according to the rules of the centre.
“Kejriwal will have to follow the schedule strictly. Participants are not allowed to interact with each other. They can pose queries to their teachers at specified intervals,” said the centre in-charge.
The routine at the center will be waking up at 4 in the morning and retiring at 9:30 at night. The CM will be sleeping on a concrete bed with the help a blanket, bed sheet and pillow what the centre will provide.
Hitting at the CM decision to take 10 days off from the party duties, his counterpart Ajay Maken has hit at him saying that while Delhi crumbles, Kejriwal is going on a deep sleep. The two parties has bitter memory at the last Delhi elections and they are both gearing up for the coming Punjab elections next year.
Dharamshala houses the head quarters of Tibetan exile community with the primary residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in exile located at Mcloed Ganj which has become a tourist destination from around the world. Dharamkot is located just about a kilometer uphill from there.
