Dalai Lama’s Sacred Gift Installed in Tawang Village

A sacred gift from the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been installed in a Tawang village according to the report in The Telegraph on Monday. The sacred gift from the spiritual leader was installed in a grand event which was also attend by the Chief Minister of the state Shri Pema Khandu on Saturday.

“Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Sunday attended the statue installation programme of Buddhist deity Chenrezig (the four-armed Avalokteshvara) gifted by the Dalai Lama at Ku-Brah Mukto, a Tawang village.” said the report in the Telegraph on Monday.

During the installation ceremony, CM Pema Khandu while speaking to the gathering informed that it a great blessing for the people of the state as the idol of Buddhist deity Chenrezig was gifted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Mukto village. In addition to that, the CM also informed that Rs 15 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of VKV at Mukto under the Border Area Development Programme.

Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, Abbot of Tawang Monastery Gangkar Tulku and Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok also spoke on the occasion.
