The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama presently carrying out his teaching schedules in the holy place of Bodhgaya took an unplanned one day break between his teachings. According to the official sources, His Holiness took the break to take rest in order to recover from his exhaustion.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Bodhgaya on December 16 for a three week stay and he began his second teaching sessions from December 28 scheduled till December 31. However, His Holiness suddenly took an unplanned gap of one day from the teachings on Friday due unwell feeling from exhaustion.
His Holiness when resumed the teachings on Sunday explained that he had been feeling bilious and a little unwell yesterday. However, with rest and the positive wishes of the general public, by afternoon he felt better. The devotees crowd on Sunday has grown to more than 16,000 and he gave Long-life Empowerment based on White Heruka that comes from the Manjushri Cycle of Teachings in the lineage of Lama Umapa.
A local news portal, The Telegraph online edition that covered the incident reported that while His Holiness was leaving for the Kalachakra ground to give teachings, His Holiness decided to take rest for the day due to an unwell feeling from tiredness.
The Tibetan spiritual leader who is turning 84 in the coming year is a global trotting international icon based in the small town of Dharamsala in North India. However, in the recent past, His Holiness’s international travels have been significantly reduced due to increased exhaustion with advanced age but HIs Holiness the Dalai Lama is still engaged in highly busy schedule hardly leaving sufficient time for rest.
