The Dalai Lama Returns to Dharamshala from Europe Tour

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to his temporal abode of Dharamshala on Wednesday afternoon after completing his visit to four nations in Europe. His Holiness visited Europeans states of Sweden, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland in a span of more than two weeks during this trip.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama left from Dharamshala on September 10, following which His Holiness first visited Malmo in Sweden where he engaged in two days of scheduled programs. The Tibetan spiritual leader traveled to Netherlands from Sweden to attend to his scheduled teachings and talks besides a special event with Richard Gere talking part in a conversation with His Holiness.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama took part in a conversation with Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Lech Walesa and Rebecca Johnson (ICAN) and Vice-President of the German Parliament Claudia Roth organized by Tibet Initiative Deutschland and Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama at Congress Center Darmstadtium in Darmstadt, Germany on last Wednesday.

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama after attending his scheduled programs in Heidelberg, Germany for two days, on last Thursday, His Holiness flew to Zurich, Switzerland where a set of programmed schedules waited for his graceful presence.

His Holiness is now scheduled to give four days of teachings and continue last year’s topic on Chandrakirti’s Entering the Middle Way (uma jukpa) at the request of Taiwanese. The Tibetan spiritual leader will also visit Manali in October for three days where he scheduled to give teachings in addition to a long life empowerment (tsewang). In November, His Holiness is scheduled to visit Japan for scheduled three days program.
