Dalai Lama Begins Four Days Teaching At Dharamsala

His Holiness the Dalai Lama begins four days teaching at Dharamsala from today. The four days teaching scheduled for the morning sessions of the next four days is specially organized at the request of a group from Asia including Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It will complete on September 1, 2017.

His Holiness began his teaching for the group of around 1600 followers from Asian countries like Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam from today and the teaching will last for the next three days till September 1. The teaching has an attendance of more than 7000 followers.

The teaching on Buddhapalita’s Commentary on the Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way (drel-pa Buddhapalita) is being attended by 1700 followers from around 60 countries, 17 Chinese nationals, around 200 Indians and more than 3900 Tibetans at the Main Tibetan Temple, McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala according to the report in Tibet Express.

As a usual practice, His Holiness said that he is going to give a brief introduction about Buddhism before beginning his teachings on Buddhism. His Holiness said that it is very important for the followers to get accustomed to the traditional philosophies of ancient Indian Buddhist masters by studying their text after receiving the teachings.

The teaching is also being live webcast for the sake of the millions of followers who are not able to be present physically. The teaching sessions begin at 8:30 in the morning and lasts till 11:30 am and the live webcast can be used through the following link.
