CTA Invites Donation for New Historic Tibet Museum

The Central Tibetan Administration has invited the general public to donate from one’s own capacity for the making of the ambitious Tibet Museum in Dharamshala, India. According to the newly launched crowdfunding campaign for the Tibet Museum, it is an opportunity for anyone to be a part of its making.

“The goal of crowdfunding is not just to raise funds for The New Tibet Museum project but also to raise awareness about one of the biggest project undertaken by CTA. Parallel to preserving the cultural heritage, The New Tibet Museum will tell the uncensored story of Tibet to the world and it will be a center of learning for scholars and researchers around the world.” said the report published by the official website of CTA regarding the campaign.

According to the description from the crowdfunding campaign, the Tibet Museum will tell the story of Tibet- one that of an illustrious history, an atrocious past of occupation and oppression, a contemporary story of resistance and resilience, and a future premised on hope. While the work is under progress in the development of this 9,000 square feet area which will be housing exhibition and learning center space, it is expected to open by December 2018.

Those who would make any donation will also be receiving specific set of rewards as per the value of the donated amount, such as a beautiful Tibet postcard for donation of Rs. 975+ or $10+, a Timeline poster of History of Tibet for donation of Rs. 1625 + or $ 25 + and so on.

While the crowdfunding is a first ever such campaign from the Central Tibetan Administration, besides collecting funds, the 50 days campaign aims to raise awareness about the project. You can visit the link and be a part of this historic project from CTA by donate now! Click here.
