The Chinese soldiers along the Indian borders across Ladakh region has opposed the celebration His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday in India. The Chinese soldiers have issued their protest over villagers on Indian territory celebrating the spiritual leader’s 84th birthday recently to the Indian counterparts in the far regions of Ladakh.

Chinese nationals dressed in civilian cloths have arrived towards the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh to the occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 84th birthday. The Chinese nationals believed to be border soldiers along the border raised banners protesting against marking the important event.

“Vehicles with Chinese nationals dressed in civilian clothes reached close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh and protested against Tibetans celebrating an annual festival in the region. They displayed banners saying ‘ban all activities to spilt Tibet’.” said the report in India Today on Saturday.

Sources have told that eleven of Chinese nationals arrived in two black SUVs and stood along the Indus river in their side of the LAC for more than 40 minutes. The Chinese had arrived to oppose the celebratory event after villagers from Koyul village in Demchok region raised the Tibetan flag.

India has earlier last year reaffirmed its stand on the Tibetan spiritual leader as an esteemed religious leader free to carry out his religious activities in India.
