Anonymous Chinese man shoots video of Xinjiang, shedding light on how China operates

According to ANI, the 20-minute video was shot by an anonymous man who only went by the name ‘Guanguan’.  The video depicts the appalling circumstances in Xinjiang detention centers, which the Chinese Communist Party refers to as “re-education centers”. While China has long been associated with illegal detentions and forced labor in the region, the report written by Radio Free Asia revealed that the country was forcing Uyghurs to relocate from their homeland to other parts of the country with the help of a mainland-based job placement firm.

According to RFA, the placement business had previously relocated over 3,000 Uyghur laborers from the camps to other parts of the country, including minors as young as 16 years old. The company advertised that all of its employees had “excellent Mandarin Chinese skills,” “vocational school degrees,” and other qualifications in a social media advertisement. A follow-up examination by the research group revealed that the company was intended to relocate tens of thousands more Uyghurs by the end of next year.
