In a surprising case of China’s sensitiveness over political agendas, current world pop sensation K-Pop BTS agency is facing backlashes over a map involving ‘South Tibet’. As the agency has released their annual financial report, a world map demonstration of income sources has not come acceptable to Chinese netizens as it involves sensitive region called ‘South Tibet’.
According Beijing’s English mouth piece, The Global Times, K-Pop band BTS agency, Big Hit Entertainment is under fire for disappointment Chinese nationalists. A map used to project their sources of income for their annual financial report showed the so called ‘South Tibet’, the region in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India, as region of India!
While Tibet is presently under the direct control of China, the political venture of expanding the control of China through the five fingers of the palm is a long earned dream, according to the Central Tibetan Administration, the Tibetan government in exile. This principle warns that after China control the palm Tibet, it will extend its claim over the five fingers, i.e., Nepal, Bhutan, Ladakh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Rightly so, there has been increasing Chinese military activities in all of these regions.
BTS agency Big Hit Entertainment published a bright report where it declared an increase of 36% in their annual revenue, political agenda of such nationalistic people are not going to let them celebrate. However, it is to be seen how the popular agency reacts. K-Pop has been through quite a turbulence over the years in its relationship terms with China, which is very sensitive to all political matters.
