Besides, Buddhists and Muslims from Zanskar region submitted a letter to His Holiness the Dalai Lama pledging to forgo past stories of their communal tensions and forge a harmonious future by promoting interfaith harmony during his ongoing visit to the region on Monday after his teaching there. The Muslims same as the Buddhists expressed their joy and contentment in having received the opportunity to meet the spiritual leader and received his teachings and blessings. Since the fifth Dalai Lama in 17th century, Muslims have been particularly treated with special support and recognition in Tibet.
