Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar once again call upon the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Bodh Gaya to seek his blessings today. The Indian politician called upon the spiritual guru while he was visiting a village in the Gaya district where His Holiness is taking a month long sojourn.
After visiting a village in Tekari block of Gaya district as part of his Vikas Samiksha Yatra, the Chief Minister flew to Bodh Gaya, the place where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment about 2,500 years ago, according to an official release issued here.
The Chief Minister was welcomed by the Tibetan spiritual leader by presenting him a shawl and a memento, after which Shri Nitish Kumar spend around an hour partaking in His Holiness’s words of wisdom. According to the report, the Chief Minister sought blessings for the welfare of the state from the spiritual guru.
This is the second meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama for the Bihar CM since His Holiness landed in the holy town since the beginning of this year. The CM called on the Tibetan spiritual leader earlier on January 8 and even jointly launched a Science and Philosophy book during His Holiness’s teachings for Indian devotees.
Besides the CM, Hollywood star Richard Here too landed in the holy town since Saturday to meet with the Tibetan spiritual leader and seek his blessing through his three days teaching. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is presently taking a month long sojourn in the holy town while he is also giving a series of teachings to thousands of devotees gathered from around the world.
