Always be Kindhearted: Dalai Lama Tells Tibetan Youths to Uphold the Culture

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama during an interaction with a group of young Tibetans told them to always be kindhearted. His Holiness advised the group of Tibetans to uphold the well known Tibetan culture of being of honest and kind people.

Hundreds of people consisting of both Tibetans and other nationals line up for the audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Whenever the Tibetan spiritual leader is present in Dharamshala, audiences for his devotees are given on the basis of registrations made by the public at his office.

“Wherever you go, never forget that you are a Tibetan,” according to the report in Tibet.net, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said as the young group knelt down with folded hands in expression of devotion and respect. “As Tibetans, we share a spiritual connection with Chenrezig (Eng: Buddha of Compassion) therefore we should always be kindhearted.”

He reminded them that for many years Tibetans have earned a reputation of being kind, honest and good people in every community. “Local Indians who live around the Tibetan communities and also people in abroad say that Tibetans are honest, kind and really good people.” it added.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled to carry out two series of teachings and attend a long life prayers offering ceremony in the month of February this year. These teachings and the ceremony are scheduled to take place at the Main Temple in Dharamshala, HP, India.
