CCP and 2022 Beijing Olympics were contested by activists from ten organisations

Dharamshala, 18th August: On July 15, 2021, activists from ten organizations demonstrated against the Chinese Communist Party and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, demonstrating how hazardous this government is to the globe. The demonstration took held in Washington Square Park, New York City, United States, and roughly 100 people attended. This event was organized with the participation of the Black Mask HK Project, co-organized by Free Tibet Students, NY&NY Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibet Independent Activities, Hong Kong Coalition for the Liberation of Hong Kong, Free Kazakhs, Burmese Community ( NYCBC), SDMB, Lion Rock Café, NY4HK – New Yorkers Supporting Hong Kong Democracy movement.

“The world has been woken up to the horrible humanitarian atrocities committed by the CCP against a variety of populations. It is becoming increasingly important to illustrate the CCP’s threat to the rest of the world,” said a statement, emphasizing the significance of opposing the Chinese Communist Party and proving to the rest of the world how dangerous this regime is.

Numerous activists from various communities testified that the CCP violates the fundamental rights of people in Tibet, Southern Mongolia, Eastern Turkestan, Hong Kong, and China. Baggio Leung; former legislator of Hong Kong and present exile activist. Burma’s campaigner, Aung Moe Win. Southern Mongolian activist Enkhbat Tochong. Ilshat Hasan; an activist from Uyghur. The novelist, author, and TV pundit, YouTuber, and political analyst, Chen Pokong; one of the 1989 leaders of the Chinese Democracy Movement and a former political prisoner. Tashi Ngawang; an activist from Tibet. Sampho Tenzin; activist from Tibet. Uyghur Actvist, Rayhan Asat. Burma’s democracy campaigner Nay Lin Tun. Dr. Zhiyuan Wang; president of the International Falun Gong Organization.

“Tibetan, Chinese, Southern Mongolian, Falun Gong, Uyghur, Hong Kong, Thai, Burmese communities came together to educate the New York City community about how dangerous the Communist regime is. In addition, we want to show the importance of standing together united against the 2022 Beijing Olympics,” they added while describing the protest’s goal.
