A Dead Tiger Found Near Hunsur Tibetan Refugee Camp

In a local report from Mysore, a dead tiger has been found near a barren land of the Tibetan refugee camp in Hunsur. According to the local reports, the authorities examined the carcass and it has been sent for post mortem analysis. The Tibetan refugee camp is located in the vicinity wild life reserves in the region.

After a tiger was found dead near the refugee camp, local Indian officials examined the spot and according to their findings, the tiger may have suffered a natural death. The carcass has been sent for further post mortem analysis.

“The carcass of a 7-year-old tiger was found near elephant trench of Veerana Hosalli Wildlife Reserve in Hunsur taluk on Thursday. Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Deputy Conservator of Forests Mahesh Kumar, ACF A V Satish, regional forest officer TM Ravindra, veterinary doctor Dr Mujeeb, Lingaraju, NTCA Director Raj Kumar and chief wildlife warden Krithika visited the spot.” according to the report by City Today, Mysore.

The report also added that all the body organs of the tiger were intact. Initial reports say the tiger may have died a natural death. The carcass has been sent for post-mortem.

Tibetan refugee camps in Karnataka such as Hunsur are located in remote areas which are very close to wild life sanctuaries. While animals like elephants often cross into their camps and very often destroy their crops. It is important for all the visitors to take note of such possible encounters with wild animals if you are visiting these regions.
