His Holiness the Dalai Lama Leaves for 4 Nation Europe Visit

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Monday left from his temporal home in Dharamsala, India for his four nation Europe visit. The four nation visit to Europe by His Holiness is scheduled to begin with his visit to Sweden from September 12 following which he will be visiting Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled will give a public talk at the Malmo live on Wednesday, the day is being also being marked as the 80th anniversary of Swedish aid organization IM, the host for the Tibetan spiritual leader’s visit to the country, for decades has been providing development assistance to the Tibetan people to improve their living conditions.

His Holiness will give a public talk on Why Compassion is Essential in our Troubled World in the morning organized by Stichting Bezoek Zijne Heiligheid Dalai Lama at Ahoy Rotterdam on September 16. In the morning of the following day, His Holiness will be a teaching on Geshe Langri Thangpa’s Eight Verses of Mind Training (lojong tsik gyema).

On September 19, His Holiness will participate in a conference on Non-Violence and Peace in the morning organized by Tibet Initiative Deutschland and Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama at Congress Center Darmstadtium in Germany. As previously published, His Holiness will be visiting Switzerland from September 21 to 23 to grace four programs scheduled in three cities.

The four day program schedule includes a religious ceremony with H.H. the Dalai Lama to celebrate the 50 years jubilee of the monastery on Friday, 21.09.2018 between 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon that includes a Long life prayer and Mandala offering for H.H. the Dalai Lama.

Official Function with H.H. the Dalai Lama to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Tibet Institute will be held on Saturday, 22.09.2018, which is scheduled to begin from around 9:30 am local time and conclude by 3:00 pm local time. A teaching from the Tibetan spiritual leader on three of his favorite texts will be given on Monday, 23.09.2018 in the morning session organized by Tibetan Community in Switzerland & Liechtenstein and Tibet Institute Rikon.
