Stay Focused and Believe in Oneself Says Tibetan Gold Medalist Ms. Dolma

Ms. Tenzin Dolma who bagged the gold medal award for scoring highest marks in History for Masters of Arts from M S University in Baroda told that you have to stay focused, not get distracted and work towards your goals. Ms. Dolma is one of the few Tibetan youths who has achieved such excellent results in academics in exile and she has recently spoken to Tibet.net, the official website of Central Tibetan Administration.

The 24 year old Tenzin Dolma was born in North Indian town Mussoorie and studied at Lower TCV School in Dharamshala till the 10 grade and completed the higher secondary school from the TCV Gopalpur school. She joined the Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda where she studied Undergraduate in History (honors) and Post Graduate in History.

“I do not really have any specific study routine but I am very punctual, attentive and hardworking when it comes to studying. So, I owe my success to that and I guess that is my success mantra.” Tenzin Dolma told in the exclusive interview to Tibet.Net.

When requested for her message to fellow Tibetan students, she told that it is important to stay focused, not get distracted and believe in oneself and work towards goals.

“My message is…”stay focused, do not get distracted, work towards your goal and always believe in yourself that you can and you will reach you said goal. Always remember that being a Tibetan student we have an extra responsibility to excel in whichever field we are studying in”.” she added in the interview.

The Tibetan girl bagged a gold medal award for her excellent result of 72.9 percent in MA History topping the subject from her University and her felicitation took place at the 66th convocation ceremony of the University in the presence of the President of India Shri. Ram Nath Kovind on January 22 this year.

The young girl while acknowledging that she is still a student with no significant role in the Tibetan movement, she shared her ambition to serve the Central Tibetan Administration and to work in the Tibetan community in the best possible ways she can.
