His Holiness the Dalai Lama leaves for programs in Southern India this morning from Dharamshala. This visit to the southern parts of India is 20 days long during which he will be visiting Mumbai, Mundgod, Bylakuppe and Bengaluru giving teachings to Indians and Tibetans alike.
On December 10, His Holiness will give a public talk on Reviving Indian Wisdom in Contemporary India at Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai in the morning organized by Vidyaloke in collaboration with Somaiya Vidyavihar according to the schedule information in the official website of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai lama. The schedule directed to send an email request at talks@vidyaloke.in to attend the talk.
His Holiness will inaugurate the Drepung Loseling Meditation and Science Center in the morning of December 14 while on the 20th His Holiness will confer a Hayagriva Initiation (tamding yangsang kawang) at Sera Je Monastery.
On December 21, His Holiness will inaugurate the new debating courtyard of Sera Mey Monastery followed by a teaching on Tsongkhapa’s In Praise of Dependent Origination (tendrel toepa) in the morning.
Following these programs, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be visiting Bengaluru between December 24 and 26. On completing the programs in the Southern parts of India, he will be heading towards Bodh Gaya for his 50 day stay over there till the beginning of February next year.
