Dalai Lama’s Schedule For May Indefinitely Postponed

His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s scheduled visits to places in Himachal Pradesh during the month of May has been indefinitely postponed! The official website of His Holiness released an announcement yesterday informing of the change in the schedule.

“His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s upcoming visit to Kullu-Manali, Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur scheduled from May 11 to 25, 2017 has been indefinitely postponed. We regret the inconvenience caused by this decision.” said the announcement in the website of OHHDL.

The announcement did not mention any reasons for the postponed schedule. It is obviously a sad news for thousands of devotees who have been looking forward to the visit by His Holiness. However as a staunch follower of the Dalai Lama it brings great relief to hear that His Holiness will receiving a longer period of rest.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has just returned to his exile abode, Dharamshala following two weeks of hectic schedule in the rough terrains of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. The inclement weather conditions during the visit made the Dalai Lama to take the long journeys by road in those rough terrains of the Arunachal Pradesh.

The doctors and concerned people around His Holiness has been looking at loosening his schedule. We hope that through this change of schedule, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gets time to take proper rest though the website has not yet specified reasons of change.
