China Blatantly Reject Tenzin Delek Rinpoche Dying Of Torture

The Foreign ministry of China said that they protected the rights of the Tibetan monk Tenzin Delek who died in prison,  responding to appeal to justice by his niece, Nyima Lhamo after she escaped to India that he died of torture in prison. She told in that she fled the Chinese occupation to Exile to tell the truth and seek justice for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche.

The high profile Tibetan activist Tenzin Delek Rinpoche was charged of “crimes of terror and incitement of separatism”  in the year 2002 and was sentenced to life imprisonment despite failing to produce any evidence of charges made against him. Tenzin Delek had also never accepted the charges in all the trials he was put through!

The officials of the prison where he was held suddenly informed his family in July last year that he had died of a heart attack. More surprisingly, the authorities did not release his body for the final rites by his family and they immediately cremated the body at the prison.

Nyima Lhamo and her mother were allowed to have a glimpse of his body after she tried to take her own life within the prison premises. The caretakers who prepared the body for cremation had informed Nyima Lhamo that they saw a big hollow behind his head with the nails and lips turned completely black.

“China is a country ruled by law, during Tenzin Delek Rinponche’s sentence his legal rights were protected according to relevant laws,” the foreign ministry said in a statement sent to Reuters. However, the officials in this matter never presented any medical reports about the cause of Tenzin Delek’s death.

The officials just gave a statement of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche dying of a heart attack to which the treatments went ineffective. But the truth is that they have never answered anything about the state of his health and body which the world has come to know through his niece. If Rinpoche actually died of the heart problem, it is obviously that the medical wards responsible for his treatment would be having a record about it. This shows the level of responsibility Chinese government take about actually ruling the country by law while they take the world for granted due to their economic might by being extremely blatant!

The chinese politicians are as hypocrite as possibly can be. Their only objective is clearly to annihilate the Tibetan culture through colonization and repression. By destroying the monasteries and to subdue the monks in the monasteries that are left over. Although it might be naive, but maybe if all of us would boycott their economy by stop buying Chinese products and stop going on holiday in China, we might achieve something. Multinationals could contribute by considering producing locally. Thereby supporting the environment too. Unfortunately power and money prevails, as is known. Thanks to all who keep resisting the Chinese colonization, and keep bringing it up in the media.
